Al and Harry are two screenwriters with a big problem.  Their assignment is to take the studio’s blandest leading man, Robert Montgomery, and build a story around him with only three requirements:  It must have sex, adventure, and a dog.  Compounding their frustration is the omnipresent clacking of a typewriter in the room next door.  Clearly, somebody is having a much easier time of it.
